THE FOUNDATION
Founded in Firenze in 2012 by Maurizio Aterini, who is currently the CEO and driving force behind the brand, Gold Note is the leading Italian manufacturer in the High-End audio industry. Our products are a statement of Italian craftsmanship, now sold in 50 countries.
We are based in the countryside surrounding Firenze, where every product is designed with locally sourced high-quality materials. Today, we are one of the few brands worldwide to offer a complete line of digital and analogue equipment to let audiophiles enjoy a full Gold Note system and experience our signature sound.
A STORY OF PASSION
Our story is one of tradition and innovation, a seemingly contradictory concept that drives our brand. We are lucky enough to come from a place full of history, architecture, and art, which is also a leading country in technology and engineering. A place that is our endless source of inspiration. Above all, we value creativity, technical know-how, and a sense of beauty, and we like to think that it shows in every product we have ever created.
And it’s the story of Maurizio, an audiophile journey that began from vinyl. His passion for music turned into an obsession for the art of audio reproduction, especially vinyl, which led him to build a collection of thousands of records by the age of twenty.

Gold Note stems from Maurizio’s audiophilia. His passion for Hi-Fi has always been deeply rooted in a love for music, pushing him on a journey to create the audio system that would best capture the nature of music. That’s where the idea behind Gold Note comes from.
Maurizio’s vision is greatly influenced by the Florentine Renaissance “a time of great technological innovation and ideas, revolutionary but tied to traditions. Our mission is to renew that innovative spirit of six centuries ago to find our way into the future.”
THE ITALIAN SOUND
Our sound is unique; we call it the Italian Sound (il Suono Italiano) and if you’ve ever listened to one of our systems, you’ll know exactly what we mean. The sound flows from our loudspeakers effortlessly, delivering a fulfilling sense of musical enjoyment that’s dangerously addictive.
Vivid realism, precise imaging, accurate separation of instruments, speed, clarity of detail – these are the qualities we focus on. Our aim is to present a perfect reproduction of the musical event that sounds as natural as possible. Musicality comes from balance, a sound that’s neither wholly analytical nor sentimental.
